"If you're a woman - you're too much for everybody"

Marina Abramovic. You would have to be living under a rock not to have heard her name. One of the revolutionary artists in history. This powerful, Serbian-born, New York-based performance artist turns 70 next week. I find her captivating and awe inspiring. The data behind her social artistry is both breath taking and terrifying. I urge you to check out her Rhythm Series, particularly Rhythm 0. I was lucky enough to visit her performance at the MoMA in 2010 'The Artist is Present'.

Last month, she released her memoir Walk Through Walls. I am eagerly awaiting for my Amazon driver to drop it off today. She was also recently featured on VICE Meets segment, as she discusses her work and the struggles of acceptance. From her family, from society and from your ego.

She is pure existential inspiration.
